I didn't like the Movie Maker version that came with Win7, so I installed V: 2.6 that came with XP and Vista and am still using it in Win10.

I have never downloaded right to Movie Maker, but I can take videos downloaded to my computer and import them.

Thanks. I will try the download. Couldn't do the drag with my current version of Movie Maker. It only picked up the audio and left the video blank with (!) information marks in its place.

I went to the link and all I saw was a security update for movie maker for Vista/XP. Did NOT see a movie maker download file or link.

Looks like they yanked the download and changed the webpage. All I can find now is a download from third parties. Glad I saved the executable.

the same problem occurred my movie maker stopped working on upgraded window 10. when I try your suggestion to download vista version, but it said has security issue. Is it safe??

If I buy a new computer with window 10, do they have new version of movie maker?
